This is another knitting/sewing chest made from a beautiful piece of curly cherry. The final dimensions are approximately 15" long x 12" wide x 12' high.
On this one I used a "double curve" on the sides. It's a shape I've been experimenting with for a while. I vary the width of the dovetails to keep them in proportion to the final thickness of the wood.
The finish is a French polished orange shellac and wax.
The handle on the lid is carved from a rather sizable chunk of cocobolo.
