Quilted Bubinga Jewelry Box

This is a small jewelry box made of quilted Bubinga. It's about 7" long by 6" wide and 5" high. The secondary wood for the box tray and bottom is Ivorywood (Guatambo). The box has hand cut dovetails and is finished with shellac and wax. The curved corners were a bit of artistic inspiration and make the box look like a mushroom (to me anyway). The inlay is handcarved ivorywood.
Bubinga is one of the most beautiful woods I've worked with, but is also fairly difficult to work with handtools.
